The latest game updates from Douglas Heat Basketball Club.

The women’s open competition enjoyed a great game on Monday night with ‘light’ team edging out ‘dark’ team by 16 points.

For ‘light’ team – Taylor Harper had a lazy 42 point game!

Hannah & Sophie each scored 14 and Mercedes scored 12.

For the ‘dark’ team – Kanisha & Kristen each scored 20, Vanessa scored 18 and Yolanda scored 4 points.

If you are a woman aged over 15 years, and you are interested in playing basketball – rock up to the Cyclone Shelter next Monday at 6:00 pm.

Women’s Competition

Monday Under 15 mixed competition = Blue defeated Yellow, Green defeated Red

Tuesday night men’s competition saw Red (66) comprehensively defeat White (36).

Top scorers for Red team were Jay Fagan (21), Jak Price (18) and Anesu Taderer (17).  Brodie Francis scored 17 points for White.

In the second game Yellow (49) defeated Purple (40).  Lamar Enoch stood out with 25 points for Yellow team, and Toby Hull scored 18 for Purple team. His team mate Keegan White scored 13 points. 

Basketball’s Aussie Hoops Sessions for 5 – 10 year old Girls and Boy is every Wednesday from 4:00pm at the PDSS Stadium, followed by Under 12 mixed games. See you there!
