Douglas Shire Council has advised that they will be proceeding with a tender for an interim ferry service after negotiations with the existing service provider proved unsuccessful.
The Council has contracted the provision of the ferry services to a third party. The current contract for ferry services commenced on 1 July 2006 and is due to expire on 30 June 2021.
The Council wishes to contract the ferry services after the expiry of the current contract. This Request for Tender is for the provision of those services from 1 July 2021.
