On Your Bike For Mothers Day Community Ride

THE wheels are in motion for a community ride to celebrate local mums this Mother’s Day.

The Mother’s Day Community Ride is a family-based fun ride from the Port Douglas Wildlife Habitat and encompasses 4km and 10km pathway based ride options. The community cycle includes cycling ride leaders with a healthy and free family breakfast afterwards. Douglas Shire Council has proudly partnered with Wildlife Habitat and Bike Shop & Hire Port Douglas to present the inaugural Mother’s Day Community Ride.

Bring along friends and family for a fun and active scenic ride. Douglas Shire Council’s Sports & Recreation Development Officer Renee Ker said the ride was a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day.

“We encourage everyone to come along – kids, grandparents, mums, dads and friends – for a day of fitness, family and having fun…Wildlife Habitat will put on a delicious, healthy breakfast for all participants following the ride, and we have free cycling giveaways available – it’ll be a terrific morning.”
