Queensland School Holidays kick off this weekend-enjoy the break kids!

Live music lovers will enjoy escaping to the sublime beauty of Flames in the Forest in Mowbray for the third instalment of Roots in the Rainforest, a decadent night of live music, canapes and drinks.

In a first for the Douglas shire, Buzza’s Gym is hosting a night of amateur boxing. Reef Rumble will explode on Saturday night with competitors coming from far and wide to compete at the Port Douglas Sporting Complex. DJ Platinum KIdd will support the boxers with live tunes, and corporate tables are available.

Volunteers and artists have been busy installing the amazing multimedia pieces for this weekend’s launch of the Call of the Running Tide Environmental Sculpture and Multimedia Festival. The festival features indoor and outdoor galleries, multimedia and installation art, with thoughtful works and contemporary ideas acting as a connection with culture help to uplift the community.

If you haven’t had your jab yet, this weekend is a great opportunity to join Cairns’ Mass Vaccination event.
