COVID-19 Report / Priority Pass to Protect our Local Indigenous Community

In response to lower rates of COVID-19 vaccination rate for Indigenous Australians compared to the non-Indigenous population, Queensland Health is running a vaccination campaign targeting increasing the vaccination rate of First Nation People across the Cape and Torres Strait.

The “Priority Pass” is being used in Cairns, Atherton, Mareeba, Innisfail and Mossman.  This provides First Nations communities with priority access at Queensland Health Vaccination Clinics. No appointment is needed – just walk in.

For Douglas Shire, the vaccination clinic is at Mossman Hospital, and is open from Monday – Wednesday, 8am to 3.30pm.
