Court House Hotel Calcutta and Race Day Celebrations
Melbourne Cup kicks off with the traditional Court House Hotel Calcutta on Monday night from 7pm. The Court House Hotel is also the epicentre of Melbourne Cup celebrations in the heart of Port Douglas with early betting, live music, big screens and a vivacious motley crowd!

Sassi
Douglas Shire Historical society Society is partnering with Sassi’s La Cucina for a Melbourne Cup luncheon. We will be running a Calcutta on the race and tickets are available now from our members, so hurry and get yours – there are only 600 available.

While all horses are sold in the Cape Trib Calcutta, the draw will be held on Sunday 31 October at 12pm.
For those who missed out on owning a horse – Monday night 1 November – is your night- Come along to Whet Monday 6:30pm for a fun evening hosted by our world famous auctioneer Bob Perry – itβs a night not to be missed!
Tuesday is Cup Day and Whet will again host our locals day – Seafood, delicious treats, Aperol Spritz, bubbles, beers betting and winners!
