For the first time ever, Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre volunteers and staff are hosting a free and Inclusive Christmas community lunch tomorrow. The Christmas lunch hopes to promote community connection and social inclusion at this time of year when many members of our community do actually feel isolated and far from family.

The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre is excited to welcome anyone who would like to enjoy a lovingly homemade festive feast including roast meats and vegetables, fresh salads, cheese and fruit platters, desserts , cold drinks, and tea and coffee.
Come along to enjoy welcoming and friendly company, and be entertained by live local music.
No Christmas lunch would be complete without a visit from the jolly bloke in the red suit, so don’t be surprised if he pops in to say g’day too π Children of all ages are encouraged to attend.

The Neighbourhood Centre staff and volunteers are delighted to share that 75% of the food that will be served at the event has been rescued with the wonderful help of OzHarvest and SecondBite Australia.
The balance of food that will be served has been sourced from local growers, including wonderful herbs from their very own community garden.
Do come along for a celebratory lunch not to be missed-vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are all available.
Please RSVP today by calling the Neighbourhood Centre on 4099 5518.
