Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre Launches Queensland’s First ‘Chatty Cafe ‘

Have a chat and reconnect!

The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre has partnered with the Chatty Café movement to launch Queensland’s first Chatty Café  – to help encourage our community to have a chat and reconnect.

Chatty Café is a global movement to help bring people together, reduce social isolation and build social connections within the local community – something we all need right now!

We believe having a chat can brighten your day!
The Chatty Cafe Scheme aims to get people chatting to build and encourage social connections within the local community, and to help reduce social isolation and loneliness.

Keeping Your Community Connected!

Come and join us every Thursday for Chatty Café at The Tin Shed – and enjoy a free cuppa and a chat.

Sometimes all it takes is a chat over a hot cuppa to brighten the day and that’s what Chatty Cafes are all about. People on their own, in a couple, with a friend, carers, people with babies and children, grandparents – people of all ages and walks of life. Chatty Café events are for everyone.

So, if you want to connect more with your local community, meet new people, or just enjoy the company of others – why not join us! Chatty Café happens weekly upstairs, in an accessible air conditioned space at the Tin Shed, Port Douglas.
