MAREEBA DRIVE-IN / Head inland for a night of family entertainment under the stars. Old-school outdoor cinema screening new releases and serving classic burgers and snacks. Gates open 5.30pm with first movie starting at 7pm. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2 (PG) & THE LOST CITY (M) screening on Friday and Saturday. THE ORIGINAL FAST AND THE FURIOUS screening on Sunday.

SPORT, WELLNESS & COMMUNITY

COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING AT NIGHTWINGS / From 8am

What to bring: Gardening gloves (new or clean to ensure no cross-contamination), a water bottle (we will provide a water refill station), sturdy closed-toed boots/shoes, sun-safe attire (e.g., hat & sunscreen), face mask (if you wish to wear one) and a willingness to get your hands dirty. Locals are encouraged to bring ferry cards & camping chairs.

Rainforest Rescue will provide: First aid kit, healthy snacks, hand sanitiser, gloves & small trowels (locals are welcome to bring their own if they are new or clean), seedlings, pre-dug holes, a great location, and our friendly team.

Overview of the Day-The event will commence at 8:00 am, so we will be finished before noon โ€“ before it gets too hot.
After a morning of planting trees to restore rainforest & connectivity, youโ€™re invited to join us as we convoy to the site of our New Native Nursery for a light lunch. We will have ferry tickets available (but we ask that locals bring their Ferry Cards).
