National Walk Safely to School Day is tomorrow. Primary School children are encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a Community Event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment. Details http://www.walk.com.au

Go Troppo art exhibition is showing all weekend, featuring some of the finest artists in the region.

The contemporary art exhibition by 15 artists, runs from 19 – 22 May at the iconic Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas.

Fresh local prawns are available from the Public Jetty in Port Douglas this weekend with the crew from Santiego/ Diamond ‘Lil selling the latest catch, but if you miss them at the public jetty, their shiny new trailer Portside galley will be serving up buckets of prawns at Sunday’s seafood extrav!

Lastly, don’t forget to vote in the federal election on Saturday!
