What is the weather doing?

A ridge persists over the northern waters. A high [1025hPa] has just moved off New South Wales and will maintain the ridge as it weakens and moves east over coming days. A strong high moving into the Bight on Friday will lead to a strengthening of the ridge and strong south to southeasterly flow across North Queensland Waters from Saturday.
