What is the weather doing?

A high [1023 hPa] over the Tasman Sea maintains a weakening ridge over North Queensland waters. The ridge will weaken further over coming days before a trough sweeps eastwards across north Queensland waters late in the weekend. A new ridge will develop along the coast in the wake of the trough early next week. Winds below 10 knots all weekend, picking up to 10-15 knots on Sunday afternoon.
