What is the weather doing?

A broad low pressure trough extends over the Gulf and northern Queensland waters. Enhanced northwesterly winds may develop over the Torres Strait waters over the next few days as a weak embedded tropical low moves east towards Cape York Peninsula. The weak tropical low should move over Cape York Peninsula by Friday, before moving further southeast to reach the Coral Sea later that day or over the weekend. Another, stronger low is developing about the central coast, and is likely to move to the southeast during Thursday.
