This weekend, you’ll find live music at Paddy’s, Court House and the Central Hotel on Friday and Saturday nights and again at the Courty for a Sunday market session.

Barrier Reef Tav are backing up with Lady Valiant live in the courtyard from 3pm.

The Yachty will be hosting Stu Harcourt from 6pm, with a seafood platter special.

Hughies in Mossman is open again Friday for their once-a-week celebrity appearance from 4pm.

Stop by from 11pm till late at the Ironbar this Saturday and sway away to the tunes of DJ Daniel Jon.

This Friday, Mount Molloy National Hotel features Lady Valentine and th pub digs are fully booked so its sure to be. a great night! Jag the Joker is sitting on $2000 with meat raffles-tickets with your drink purchase from 5.30pm. Happy Hour and a transfer bus home (book early!) or a room at the inn upstairs.

Mossman Chill Out Group play host to some of our local favourite musicians next Tuesday at Mossman Community Centre from 930 am.


MISCHIEF & MAYHEM AT THE BALLET

A Midsummer Night’s Dream has captured the hearts of many, young and old, in the centuries since it was written.

Shakespeare’s fantastical masterpiece interweaves the magical realm of fairies and woodland creatures with the mortal world of unrequited lovers.

A co-production between Queensland Ballet and Royal New Zealand Ballet playing Friday and Saturday evening at CPAC.

WEEKLY DINING SPECIALS

We need to make special mention to welcome Hideko’s team to Seashell’s Seafood where he has introduced a takeaway menu. we all know his tempura fish & chips and karaage chicken are inimitable!

The Yachty / On Wednesdays they host a Pasta Night with delicious lasagne and cannelloni prepared by Italian chef Alex for only $20. $19 Parmy night is Thursdays. Friday is a Specials board. Saturday’s offering is a Seafood Platter for two with a bottle of vino for $90.

Restaurant Kai has a 2-course weekly special where guests can choose any entree + any meal from the classics for $45 pp. Offer valid Tuesday – Saturday from 5pm.

HELP CLEAN UP OUR WATERWAY

This Friday, members of the community have the opportunity to help clean our local waterways. A collaborative effort between Tangaroa Blue, ReefClean and local volunteers, come along for the Dickson Inlet Monitoring Clean-up in Port Douglas. Meet on the corner of Port St and Wharf St, just down from the Coral Beach Lodge at 2pm.

GROWING UP IN THE TROPICS

What are the most significant memories about growing up in the tropics? How do they differ from growing up in other places?


Cairns Museum presents recollections of childhood through photographs, artefacts, drawings, and smells that characterise the uniqueness of tropical landscape and climate with its beauty and challenges.
The exhibition brings together four categories of children’s lives β€” playing, learning, getting around, and resilience β€” salient themes showcasing items from the tropical museum collection. You are invited to reflect on your own childhood and connect with the past.

A fabulous new local event for Julatten kicks off this Sunday afternoon with the Grand Opening of Julatten’s Fairmarket at Geraghty Park Hall from 2-5pm.

Enjoy live music, a barbeque, stalls, cakes, open mic, soap box, lots of fun for all the family-playground, table tennis, chess and boules.
Bring along any produce, cooking, craft, art, new or second-hand goods to sell or swap, Tables and chairs supplied.
