BOOK LAUNCH + Q & A SESSION FOR WRITERS AT THE CLINK

Two Wonga Beach residents, Sandy Davies and Tahlia Elish, are launching their new book on Friday, The Power to Rise Above, an anthology of stories of strength and overcoming adversity.

The Ozark Press imprint exists to amplify the voices of strong people willing to share their stories to elevate others and exemplify hope. Sandy Davies is the powerhouse behind Ozark Press. In honouring the brave stories of others, we break through barriers, overcome obstacles and provide a pathway for future generations.

In her fifties, Sandy has become a voice for positive ageing and for ending the stigma surrounding conversations of hardship, menopause and women’s health. Sandy is an engaging, funny and profound speaker, openly speaking about the impact of suicide and the power of living your dreams. If you would like a dose of Sandy’s contagious joy and happiness at your next event, reach out

In addition to celebrating the launch of the anthology, they are also hosting an expert Q&A panel to answer questions about getting your book published.

If you have a manuscript that you haven’t taken to the next level, if you’ve been thinking about telling your story, or if know you there’s a book in your heart that will benefit others, come along for our informative panel. The Q&A session will feature a range of experienced authors who have self-published, utilised a hybrid or forged an unbreakable bond with a traditional publisher like Debra Gavranich with Wild Dingo Press.

After self-publishing her book Boy of Steel, Crystal Leonardi took her publishing journey to the next level and has become a publisher herself.

We’ll share our mistakes, our wins, and answer questions about getting your book to market.
