Live your Best Life for Carnivale Parade 2023

Port Douglas’ iconic Carnivale preparations kick off for 2023 with the ever popular Parade down Macrossan Street. Floats, walkers, dancers, jugglers, acrobats and performers of all kinds are now invited to take part in the annual community event. The parade, which will take place on Friday May 19, 2023 will be presented in partnership with the Property Shop Port Douglas & Mossman.

The event will kick off at 6:30 pm, followed by a fireworks display at 8 pm in Anzac Park. For this year’s theme, participants are encouraged to design and costume their floats and outfits around the concept of “living their best life” in Port Douglas.

Douglas Shire Mayor Michael Kerr expressed his excitement for the upcoming event, highlighting the region’s unique blend of outdoor lifestyle and natural beauty. “Port Douglas offers a laid-back, outdoor lifestyle combining the best of nature with the Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef,” he said.

Entertainment on the street and in the park commences at 5.00 pm with the parade starting at 6.30 pm.
