MOTHERS DAY

Mossman QCWA is having a High Tea for Mothers Day on Saturday 13 May at 11 am (doors open 10.30). Please call Laurie 0417769389, Debbie 0472673905 or Jenny 0418957453 for questions or tickets for $20 pp available at the QCWA Hall.


OPEN DAY AT PORT DOUGLAS NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE

Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre Open Day will showcase a range of activities and information stands Thursday 11 May from 10am to 1pm at Port Village Shopping Centre.

PORT DOUGLAS NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE TRIVIA NIGHT

The Neighbourhood Centre is also getting ready for a fun fundraising Trivia Night at Central Hotel next Wednesday 17 May. Why not get a team together and help make this night a success?  


MORE NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE NEWS

The ever popular Community Lunch will be re-launched in conjunction with Reef Resort Restaurant in June. Volunteers to help with serving, chatting to attendees, clearing tables and washing dishes are being sought.

The commitment would be three hours on Thursdays from about 11:30 – 2:30 please contact Belinda on cdwpt@pdnc.org.au if you would like to volunteer.

There are a few spaces left in the free first aid course to be held at the Centre on Friday 12 May. Please call 4099 5518 if you would like to sign up. Enrolment will close later today to allow time to complete the required pre work.


FREE HEARING CHECKS TOMORROW AT MOSSMAN LIBRARY

Tomorrow, Tuesday 9 May from 10:30am-12:30pm, free hearing tests and a Q&A presentation will be offered at the Mossman Library. Ages: 18+ No bookings required, morning tea provided.


WHO’S YOUR MOB?

This Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Family History Workshop will provide you with an introduction to the resources and information available at State Library of Queensland to help you begin your family history journey or progress your research further, in a friendly, culturally supportive way.

Tea, coffee and lunch will be provided.

Coach Grace Ryan will be holding pool assessments for all children so please come dressed to swim including goggles!

Squads participation level will be determined by pool assessments.

FREE THEATRE PERFORMANCE

You are invited to a FREE professional performance of ‘I Gut This Feeling’ by Cairns’ Jute Theatre company. This will be shown in the Indoor Sport Centre at Mossman State High School on Thursday 25 June at 5.30pm. ALL welcome! Aimed well at 6-14 year olds.
