Enjoy Cattle, Chooks, Cakes, Cane and Carnival Rides at the Mossman Show this weekend

The 71st annual Mossman Show will be held on Sunday 23 and Monday 24 July, and the full line-up of events and entertainment is now available for your planning prior to arrival!


AIRTIME FMX FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS

Entertaining the crowds is AIRTIME FMX, promising an action-packed Freestyle Motocross show with Australia’s longest running professional FMX Team.

MELVILLE’S PIONEER ANIMAL FARM

Bring the kids along to get up-close and friendly with farm animals. Melville’s Pioneer Animal Farm includes baby chicks, ducklings, guinea pigs, turkeys, geese, baby lambs, baby goats, piglets, calves and many more. No admission fee.

NOAH’S THOROUGHBRED PIG RACING

Noah’s Thoroughbred Racing Pigs is fun-filled enjoyment for all ages. From the bugle race call, through the obstacles, to the last snout in the finishing trough, crowds will be cheering their preferred pig to the end. The pigs are neck and neck, trotter to trotter, racing for the trough…..finally they reach the finish line, pushing and shoving to get their snout in the trough first.

RANGER NICK

Ranger Nick camp oven cooking demonstrations and taste testing show will educate and entertain you at this year’s show.

SNAKE SPECTACULAR

David Williams from Resta gives a very informative commentary of different types of snakes found throughout Australia and the world. David has many snakes available for different viewing and his shows run throughout the two days of the show. David’s snake shows runs at different times on both days and there is no admission fee, however gold coin donation can be made.

DOG JUMPING

A crowd fave sponsored by the Port Douglas Vets.

FIREWORKS

Watch the sky above Mossvegas come alive on Monday night. Fireworks display will light the sky and signal the end of the show for another year. Find a good spot to watch the display at 8pm on Monday. The fireworks display is sponsored by Marano’s Fuel & Qube Logistic

LIVE MUSIC

OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO

Check out the local art, craft, photography, needlework, horticulture, agriculture and culinary talent on display in the Victor Crees Pavilion. And you must not forget the amazing displays from our local schools and kindy’s.

LOCAL CANE DISPLAY

You also can’t miss the cane display located outside the Victor Crees Pavilion, with cane supplied by our local farmers.

WOODCHOP DISPLAY

Woodchops will be held over the two days.

FOOD

We’ve got your hangry bellies covered, with dagwood dogs and fairy floss at one of the travelling show caravans, mouth-watering delights from the food court and d’lish hamburgers from the Burger Bar.

Early bird tickets are available from the from the secretary’s office at Mossman Showgrounds. The office is open from 9 am to 4 pm from 17-22 July 2023. Eftpos is available for early bird tickets at the office.
