Dear Editor,
I would like to bring to your attention the dangers for northern traffic turning into Willie Pye Teamster Park at Craiglie.
In order to turn into the entrance to the park, one has to turn right across the Captain Cook Highway.
Traffic behind one’s vehicle are often confused and/or impatient as there is no clear signage for the entry or any clear evidence of a bypass lane.
Sometimes if the southern traffic is congested, the vehicle attempting to enter Willie Pye Teamster Park is stoppped for a period of time.
Southern traffic do not have this problem as it is a left hand turn from Captain Cook Highway at the entrance.
One can only exit from Willie Pye Teamster Park into Beor Street. Entry from Beor Street is not allowed.
Perhaps with the Gran Fondo, this issue of traffic management at Willie Pye Teamster Park, Craiglie may be highlighted.
I hope so because (in my opinion) this is a situation of an accident waiting to happen.
Regards,
Hilary Kuhn
