Cairns Regional Council is inviting submissions from qualified and experienced artists around Australia for new public artwork opportunities in Cairns city.

The submission for concept development quotation will be stage one of four project stages. The suite of artworks will be a major nationally recognised public art commission, positioning the project as a key statement within the proposed new tropical landscaping and rejuvenated $28 million redevelopment of the Esplanade Dining Precinct.

Expressions of interest are open until 10 February, with the chosen artworks to be installed by the end of July.
