A fun weekend for the school holidays lays ahead, with Mossman Fishing Club hosting a generously ruled and rewarded ‘Fish Anywhere’ comp that kicks off today.
Julatten Hotel swings open its saloon doors to welcome visitors (from 11.30am today), and are playing live music all weekend. Now under the ownership of the Colonial Leisure Group (Daintree EcoLodge, Daintree Village Hotel, Mount Mulligan, Orpheus Island and the soon to open Pelorus Island), Julatten Hotel will be open Wednesdays: 3pm-late and Thursday-Sunday: 11:30am-late.
This Saturday from 5-8pm, enjoy live tunes by Julian James, blending country and soulful fiddle. And on Sunday, from 1-4pm, groove along to Stuie Harcourt’s soulful vocals, burning guitar work, and earthy didgeridoo. See you there!
Starlight Movies in Port will turn Rex Smeal Park into a gorgeous moonlit ‘Cinema Paradiso” during July, with movies screening from tomorrow.
The Crocs Ball will be held at the Oaks Resort on Saturday night, and there is live local music everywhere all weekend!
PS. Have you noticed the sugar cane flowering prolifically ? The Mill commences their annual crush on Monday, and Far North Milling would like everybody to please be mindful of yourself and your mates as they want everyone going home safe every day. Hereβs to a safe and successful 2023 crushing season!
